Growing Together: A Community Open Day at Green Shoots

Over the past few months, something exciting has been taking root in the Walled Garden at Aberdalgie.

Green Shoots has already welcomed schools, volunteers, community groups and partner organisations to pilot activities, develop ideas and help shape what this unique space can become. From gardening and outdoor learning to creative activities and community projects, each visit has helped us grow our vision of bringing people, nature and learning together.

Now we’d love to share that journey with the wider community.

On Saturday 25th July, we’re opening the gates for our Community Open Day, inviting everyone to come along, explore the gardens and discover what Green Shoots is all about.

Whether you’re interested in volunteering, looking for opportunities for your family, representing a local organisation or simply enjoying spending time outdoors, you’ll be very welcome. It’s a chance to wander through the Walled Garden, meet the people behind the project and see how this historic space is being reimagined as a place for learning, wellbeing and community.

Green Shoots is built on partnership. It has been made possible through the enthusiasm and support of volunteers, trustees, funders, local organisations and everyone who has contributed their time, skills and encouragement along the way. While there’s still much to grow, we’re proud of what has already been achieved and excited about what lies ahead.

We hope you’ll join us on Saturday to celebrate what Green Shoots has become so far, and to discover what’s still to come.
