Memories, messages and thanksgiving

A large number gathered in a place of worship so familiar and so special in different ways, to mark the 250th Anniversary of Aberdalgie Kirk. The original Communion Cups, dated 1773, were placed on the altar signifying the number of those who have passed through the doors over the years and references were made to how life has changed since its inauguration. Although he was unable to join us at our celebrations, the family of the Rev Colin Williamson (minister from 1984-2008) were well represented to hear the attached message, read out by the Interim Moderator, Jo Young, at the opening of the Service. Amongst the specially selected hymns was Amazing Grace, written 250 years ago. It was a joyous occasion when we were reminded of the strength of family and friends. And enduring faith.
