MDS Pastoral Care Coordinator - Lower Earn Network. Reference M29/24
Permanent, Part Time 9.375 hours per week
Salary: £28,815 - £32,575 pro rata per annum
Closing date: Friday, 14th February 2025 at 12 noon.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work alongside Rev Allan Wilson and Dr Ian Morrison and take on the Pastoral Care Coordinator role within the Lower Earn Network (Abernethy, Aberdalgie & Forteviot, Dunbarney & Forgandenny).
This role will suit someone with a powerful calling to the compassionate care for others during their time of need, whether it be someone suffering from bereavement, a serious health event, a difficult family situation, loneliness, separation or children needing support. Particular experience in one or more of these areas would be welcomed.
You will lead a team of dedicated pastoral volunteers to manage the range and quality of pastoral care provided. Training and mentoring will be provided for you and the volunteers.
The Pastoral Care Coordinator is expected to be actively involved in the life of the congregations and their local communities. Whilst there is no requirement for the individual to live in the parish, it is expected that their activities will take place within the geographical bounds of the Lower Earn Network.
The role that is carried out by Church of Scotland MDS Pastoral Care workers is invaluable in making a difference to the lives of people in our communities. Our MDS colleagues will have access to a full suite of wellbeing and learning opportunities.
