This September and October, we’re bringing Dry Stone Walling to Green Shoots Aberdalgie for the first time, with a series of free, hands-on day courses delivered by experienced trainers from the East of Scotland Branch of the Dry Stone Walling Association.

Come and have a go

Dry stone walling is one of Scotland’s great traditional rural skills, creating strong and beautiful walls using carefully selected and positioned stone without mortar. These practical day courses are a chance to get stuck in, learn the basic techniques from experienced wallers and put those skills into practice here at Green Shoots.

No previous experience is needed. Just come prepared to learn something new and get your hands dirty.
